we swapped disks for years on PS2 and Xbox 1 but that does not stop you guys from proclaiming the 360 is last gen technology because of it.
I would rather take 3 seconds to swap a disk than lord knows how long to install a disk to the HDD. However they both sound pretty last gen to me.
If the 360 hadda have mandatory installs in order to run a game at the same speed as PS3 does without the install, it would be news worthy EVERYTIME it happened, you guys would be going on about how inferior to the PS3 the 360 is, and the power of the cell, and how it only does everything better than 360. where did you get those numbers from, I don't think those numbers represent the 360 specifically. MS no longer releases numbers pertaining only to Xbox losses or gains, its all done under the devices division now. We dont know how much the xbox is specifically making or losing. Devices includes mice keyboards, zune, PC gaming the surface and a bunch of other crap that probably loses tons of money.

I have always believed the importance of 720p and 1080p in gaming has been greatly exaggerated, and this game proves that, IF it actually is sub HD. Poly count is what matters in gaming, poly count and apparently lighting LOL!

Excuses really dont matter, MS XBOX was the underdog at the start of this gen, headstart or not the PS3 was supposed to rape 360 in sales, Sony was the undisputed market leader last gen, to see PS3 in 3rd and 360 at 40 million already is a huge victory for MS.

whatever it is HD SD XD it looks better than any game on a console that I have seen so far, minus Uncharted II, and the lighting is superior even to UnchartedII.

from the way it sounds all modern games are rendered this way, with layers of different resolutions combined to make one or some crap, I have no idea exactly what he was talking about LOL. All I know is the game looks great, they did something right.
As for PS3 games, a Sony dev would NEVER tell you if they were using these techniques, Sony is far more hush hush on how they do things,(mostly because they have an agenda) but most likely, like he said ALL modern games are doing it...
